This is great news! I visited the WDW Tiki Room on all of my annual trips for the last decade, but it was never as good as the original. Glad it's coming back.

Fantastic news!!! We were going to give it a second chance in our next WDW trip in March (just too see if we were too harsh the last time we went)... But instead we'll get what we want instead..

Ha! I think you must be right, otherwise they wouldn't have picked any one as, um, *seasoned* as Jeff Bridges and Penelope Cruz to play Belle and the Beast.
Having said that, it's nice that they make the effort. In the UK, they have given up trying to target anyone with half a brain... The ads are pretty much "hey, wanna see how loudly reality tv contestants of the future can scream when there's a free trip in the offering?". Painful!

Please please please, promise me you'll post that explanation about bathroom improvements? Because really, the signs with hand-washing step-by-step instructions just aren't adequate themeing for my experience.
And remember, we are not theme park geeks, we are themepunks. You said so yourself.

I've recently thought that SC Johnson - formerly Johnson Wax (makers of Glade, Ziploc, windex, and other things) would be a good company to sponsor something at EPCOT. They've always been progressive about architecture hiring big guns like Frank Lloyd Wright and Norman Foster. They've got a huge 'green' background that could tie into the unsponsored Land pavilion rather easily with only a little reworking. Biggest of all, they're privately owned which means no stockholders worried about getting their dividends getting in the way of them giving some money.
They even had a pavilion at the '64 world's fair with the first IMAX movie alongside the famous Disney contributions, so its not a strange idea to them. They're a different type of corporate animal, one that seems to have a conscience and would actually care to see the legacy of EPCOT continue rather than just have a 5 or 10 year advertisement.

I think that the Mouse commissioned something else from Pogo: the opening night introduction to World of Color. I'm not absolutely certain that it's his, but it is certainly his style.
